Rengel Printing hung its first sign in 1921 at a time when St. Cloud's population was less than 20,000, St. Cloud had a newspaper written entirely in German, and streetcars were still operating down the center of St. Germain. Our ink was printed one color at a time, and the hand-operated press was about as advanced as the printing industry got.

1971-1983

We at Rengel have evolved a lot since then. We display our first press outside the front door not only as a reminder of our company's heritage, but also as a symbol of our commitment to progress. Today we provide a full spectrum of print services, using some of the industries best equipment.

You could say Rengel's roots are honorably humble. Our namesake and his partner, Andy Goedert, founded their company with $500 worth of used equipment they bought from the struggling Pan Motor Company. Troublesome as the Great Depression was, our company emerged stronger than ever. With business growing rapidly our accommodations had to as well. After five locations, we settled in the current site at 1922 Seventh Street North, where we have been since 1983.

Mr. Jack Rengel became the sole owner in 1951; he stayed involved in his company until his death in 1982. John and Dee Rengel have kept the essence of a family owned printing company, while continuing to embrace those traditions on which we were founded.

We continue to advance and expand as new technology allows us to offer better quality, competitive prices, and more options for our clients. Our goal is to always provide a big printer's capabilities with a small printer's touch. We always hold tight to our past, but also look ahead to our future.
